The Mazda CX-5 is available in a range of petrol and diesel engines that are both efficient and engaging. For the petrol engines, there’s the 2.0-litre e-Skyactiv G 165PS engine, available in 2WD manual or automatic, which starts off the range with an WLTP combined economy of 43.4mpg for the manual option. For more power, there’s a 2.5-litre e-Skyactiv G 194PS engine with automatic transmission and a 4WD system, returning a WLTP combined of 37.2mpg.

As for the diesel engines, the CX-5 effortlessly combines power with efficiency. The central diesel engine is a 2.2-litre Skyactiv-D 184PS. This can be selected as a manual or automatic transmission, as well as a 2WD or 4WD system. These engines return a combined WLTP of 50.4mpg on the 2WD manual, and 42.8mpg on the 4WD automatic.
