EV-Ready Lifestyle
The distinctive design of the KONA electric is highlighted by a Pixelated Seamless Horizon Lamp and LED headlamps integrated in the front bumper. Inside, you can find a range of EV-centric features that allow for a easy and accessible driving experience, all made possible by a space-saving battery architecture below. This includes the rotary type shifter is located on the steering column, allowing you to easily switch between drive and park and frees up more space in the centre console for extra storage.
Unqiue to the KONA electric is Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing you to plug in your laptop or electric bike directly into the KONA to charge them, making this EV the perfect companion for holidays and family gatherings. There’s also an on-board 230V electrical socket located under the rear seat vents so your passengers can stay connected, while the battery pre-conditioning system allow you to automatically adapt the battery temperature for optimal charging conditions.
Impressive Performance
Two battery options are available on the all-new KONA EV: a standard range 48.4kWh battery and a long range 65.4kWh battery. The standard range battery delivers an impressive range of 234 miles on WLTP combined, while the long range version shows off an outstanding driving range of 319 miles on WLTP combined. These impressive figures are thanks to an innovative heat pump that maximises distance, harvesting wasted heat to warm the cabin - rather than solely using the battery itself which could minimise range.
Charge times on the all-new KONA electric are optimised too, with both the standard range and long range batteries achieving a 10-80% charge time in just 41 minutes (using a 74kW or 102.3kW fast charger, respectively). The battery range is powerful too, offering great acceleration thanks to instantaneous torque applied to the wheels from rest. The standard range offers 156PS output, while the long range version offers 218PS of power.
